Gabber is Family

This project looks at how to style subcultures without turning them into costume. My approach was research-led and people-first, grounded in understanding the history and the individuals carrying the culture forward.

The styling prioritised authenticity through restraint. Working closely with the cast, many looks came from personal wardrobes, supported by carefully selected archival pieces. The result is a nuanced visual language that treats subculture as lived experience, not aesthetic shorthand.
